The E1 channel protection switching device adopts a "1+1" dual routing redundancy architecture, which sends concurrent signals through the primary and standby transmission channels. The receiving end analyzes the transmission quality of the two routes in real time (such as error rate, alarm status, etc.), automatically selects the optimal path to output the signal to the user equipment, and achieves lossless switching.One device can support up to 56 channels E1 protections.

PT-50P 5056A is a high capacity i-APS (Intelligent Auto Protection Switch) provides the most valuable data services with extreme high availability for the bank, military or government department. It acquires a 5U height, standard 19" shelf, supports up to 56 E1 channels.
Two E1 channels are used to protect one E1 channel. The device automatically selects transmission channels based on the quality of the two protection channels to ensure that the protected E1 channels are always transmitted through high-quality channels. Even the device is powered off, the data will be by-passed automatically. For such both active transmission links technique, it guaranties the maximum availability of data transmission and non-destructive switch over.
